Background
The Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) or National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Scheme was formulated to impart IT training to around 50 Lakh people, including authorized ration dealers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers across all states and union territories in the country.
With the scheme declared open for Village Level Entrepreneurs, CSCs could now register and train candidates from any block and/or district of the country as per the prescribed eligibility criteria. An eligible person could enroll to the nearest NDLM training center using their Aadhaar number, study the e- modules through the LMS, fill the minimum number of learning hours, and appear for a Real Time Examination process in collaboration with CSC approved Certifying Agencies such as NIELIT, NIOS, ICT among others for their certification.
